The Seed of Metals

Strange loop machine, 16mm film, projector, bricks of erosion, map projection

The work elaborates on the natural phenomenon epirogeneses slow vertical uplifting and tilting movements of the earth’s crust. Interpreted as a paradoxical feedback loop to a mining landscape disturbed state where different thickness and density are trying to restore balance by equalizing a shift in load.
